Our home in Upper Saddle River, a suburb of New York City.

Well we made it home safely—just a little over 3 weeks on the road. We had revisited some old favorites and definitely found some new ones.

This trip had been different for us. Rather than trying to cover a lot of ground and superficially touching a lot of places, this time we just selected a few places and dug deeper and stayed longer—definitely a more relaxing approach.

I’d have to say that this trip was a family favorite to date. It’s going to be a hard act to follow.
